Interview With U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs

Discussing the Connections of Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, and Informatics.

Dr. Savoy first learned about the importance of human factors in human computer interaction while in her doctoral studies at Purdue University. There she learned to consider not only the system design but also to evaluate and understand how a user feels about the design. From there she was introduced and reintroduced to the concept of human factors and learned to apply that knowledge to simulations and designs to investigate impacts on end users and their workflow.
